Equifax, a consumer credit reporting agency, has reported that some of its data has been breached. Because Equifax is used by many businesses which conduct credit checks, the potential impact is huge. Equifax has reported that this cyber breach has the potential to touch more than 140 million consumers.
What should I do?

- Pay attention to your account. Make sure you check your bank statements and credit card statements for unusual activity.
- Always remember to keep personal identifying information confidential. There may be scammers that try to use this data breach to gain access to your accounts. Be suspicious of any phone calls requesting information about your accounts.
